According to the information provided by Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to snow, glaze-ice and river raise special traffic restrictions are established on three roads:

Traffic was restricted on 2 sections of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze International road because it was raining heavily and snowing intensively during the whole night.  Temporary bypass road, located at km 206 of the mentioned road is damaged due to raise of Chkhara River. Therefore movement is forbidden for all mode of transport. Traffic flows are diverted to Zestaponi-Baghdati-Kutaisi road. Movement for trailers and semi-trailers is forbidden on this direction.

Traffic for trailers and semi-trailers is forbidden at km55-km152 (Igoeti-Khevi) section due to heavy snow. Movement is free for other type of vehicles.

Traffic is restricted on Aragvispiri-Larsi section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road for trailers, semi-trailers and buses with more than 30 seats. For other vehicles traffic on Mleta-Gudauri (Posta) section is allowed by application of antiskid chains; movement is free at Aragvispiri-Mleta and Kobi-Larsi sections. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axis.

Traffic is restricted at km37-km71(Tkibuli-Ambrolauri) section of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road  for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats, but for other mode of transport movement at km37-km50 (Nakerala Pass) section is allowed by application of antiskid chains; traffic is free at km 50-km71 section. Traffic is free for vehicles with two or more main axis.

Due to complicated meteorological conditions - avalanche danger, heavy snow, snow-storm and limited visibility, movement is restricted on 4 motor roads:

Due to intense snow and avalanche hazard, traffic is restricted for all mode of transport at km30-km70 (Jvari-Khaishi) section of Zugdidi- Jvari- Mestia-Lasdili road. Traffic at km 71-km188 (Khaishi-Ushguli) section is permissible by application of antiskid chains. Traffic for tandem-drive vehicles is free on Khaishi-Ushguli section.

Traffic for all mode of transport is restricted on the following road sections:  km110-km146  (Rodionovka-Ninotsminda) section of Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road, km 90-km112 (Ninotsminda- Armenian border) section of Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda (Armenian border) road and km20-km30 of Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi (border of Turkish Republic) road.
