Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia provides photo materials reflecting rehabilitation progress of Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale road in the category of weekly pictures gallery.

Rehabilitation of 2 km. Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale international road (Border of Turkey) will be completed in few days.  

Rehabilitation project considers: arrangement of road base by recycling method, construction of two-layer asphalt-concrete pavement, arrangement of junctions to local road, concrete parapets, directional sign posts and metal barriers; also provision of  horizontal marking works.

Main works have been already competed. At this stage rehabilitation of guardrail posts, culverts and shoulders are underway.

This road connects Georgia and Republic of Turkey. International movement and transit traffic is conducted through this road and accordingly it is one of the main sections. Project is financed from the state budget and its cost is GEL 1 258 400.
