Roads Department is awarded for ensuring access to public information

Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) and Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) hold presentation of the report summarizing situation of Freedom of Information in Georgia during 2010-2015 at Tbilisi Marriott Hotel. The most accountable and the most closed public institutions were revealed. Roads Department of Georgia is granted a special award for ensuring access to public information in 2015 and was named as one of the most accountable public agency.
 
IDFI award was given to all public institutions for disclosure of public information which showed the highest index - 100% of access to public information. The most closed public institutions were also nominated.  Based on specific cases, report reflects the situation existing in Georgia and builds up opinion about the existing practice in terms of access to public information.
