Shore protection works of river Mtkvari in village Skra of Gori municipality are completed.

Village Skra is situated at the right bank of river Mtkvari at 620 m above sea level. Due to relief of this area, during the floods water lever raised from time to time and covered settlement with water, followed by intensive erosion of the riverbank. 

Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia arranged protective rock berm against erosion and anti-flood dam to protect homestead lands. The length of new shore protective structure is 160 meters.

Works in the amount of 325.5 thousand GEL were financed from the state budget. The project commenced in 2014 and was completed during the current year.
