Traffic at km98-km110 section of Koda-Partskhisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road, so called “Tikmantazhi” pass was closed at 3:00 am of November 12 due to intense storm and snow.

Transport moving on mentioned section could not leave disaster zone due to zero visibility. Rescuers and local police cars also stuck on the road. Disaster maintained till 13:00 pm.

By coordination of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, clean-up operations were implemented from both sides of the road – from the side of Paravani lake road was cleaned by special machinery of “Javakhavtogza” Ltd and from Tsalka side by “Bedeki” Ltd.

As a result, cars stuck in disaster zone are moved out. Road cleaning and widening works continue.
