According to the information provided by Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, intensive rains raised water level of Chkhara River that resulted in damaging of road at km206 of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze International road. The road is closed for safety reasons.

Mentioned section was used as temporary bypass road due to construction of the highway.

By that time traffic is diverted to Zestaponi-Baghdati- Kutaisi road. Movement for trailers and semi-trailers is restricted.

Disaster clean-up operations and upgrading of damaged section is being implemented by coordination of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
