Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Irakli Litanishvili and World Bank representatives inspected works progress on 12,7 km Tbilisi-Tianeti road.

Road section under rehabilitation starts from the village  Khevsurtsopeli and ends at the village Veli.

Roadbed preparation works have already conducted within the scope of project. Gabions and culverts will be arranged very soon and asphalt-concrete pavement would be paved. Afterwards, road safety improvement works, i.e. new reflective posts, speed limit road signs and road marking, shall be provided.

As a result of rehabilitation of Tbilisi-Tianeti road, movement will become more comfortable, traffic will be improved and travel time will be decreased.
