Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia provides photo materials reflecting construction progress of Agara-Zemo Osiauri section in the category of weekly pictures gallery.

Agara-Zemo Osiauri section is a part of the main transit highway of the country.  According to the project construction period for 12 km long section is 2 years. Construction of 6 km section will be completed by the end of the current year. After that, traffic shall be shifted to a new four-lane cement-concrete road.

At this stage, construction of road base and structures are underway on respective section.

Georgian Company Black Sea Group and Kuwait Company Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L implement civil works. Project is financed by the World Bank. Project value is more than GEL 105 mln.

Upgrading of Agara-Zemo Osiauri section shall increase highway capacity, improve traffic safety level and reduce travel time.
