Representatives of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and the World Bank checked the progress of road safety improvements (Stage III) under Kakheti Regional Roads Improvement Project (KRRIP).

Roundabouts complying with the modern standards were arranged under the project on four roads, namely: Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi road, Access road to Davit Gareji Monastery; Sasadilo-Sioni road and Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road. 

Together with roundabouts rumple strips are arranged on Tbilisi- Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi road near the village Sartichala, protection barriers are arranged near the public school of the village Manavi.

Implementation of mentioned measures on regional roads, especially on roads running through the settled areas will ensure safe movement for transport and pedestrians.
