Rehabilitated road for residents of Khobi, Zugdidi and Chkhorotsku

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Eka Sepashvili inspected rehabilitation works of 5 km section of of the New Khibula-Nazareni road in Khobi municipality.
Municipal MP Goderdzi Bukia, State Representative - Governor Levan Shonia, representatives of the Roads Department and the local government officials visited the rehabilitating facility together with the Deputy minister.
The road passes through the densely populated territory of the village New Khibula and connects Khobi, Zugdidi and Chkhorotsku municipalities with each other with the shortest way.
The old road was almost fully amortized and it was very uncomfortable for the resident to use this road during the years.
The Roads Department implements rehabilitation project. Arrangement of the asphalt pavement is being ongoing. The project also includes construction of the new bridge and water pipes, arrangement of the entrances to the yards, connections to the local roads and public transport parking facilities.
Rehabilitation works started several days ago and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the current year.
The project is funded by the state budget and the cost is 2 million. 246 thousand GEL.
