Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia offers you the photo chronicles of ongoing road rehabilitation in village Rike which is located next to conditional administrative border with Abkhazia in Zugdidi Municipality. 

Abovementioned village is located on the left embankment of river Enguri, since the villages on the right embankment are under occupation, rehabilitation of roads on this territory has a significant social meaning. Therefore, based on the Government Decree Roads Department of Georgia has been assigned to implement this project.

At this stage the road base construction is under progress in the center of the village. Project considers construction of two layer asphalt-concrete pavement, reconstruction of the existing bridge, rehabilitation of road to the church and cemetery. In addition roads, sidewalks and footpaths in the village center, nearby village municipality, school and other administrative buildings, will be improved.

The cost of the project is 1.239 thousand Gel and it is financed from the state budget.

Rehabilitation will be completed in 2015.
