The First Deputy Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Nugzar Gasviani and representatives of the World Bank mission visited Ruisi-Agara and Agara-Zemo Osiauri section to inspect the ongoing works.

The World Bank mission has been in Georgia for several days and jointly with RD representatives have been monitoring the World Bank funded projects.

Currently, construction of two highway sections, Ruisi-Agara and Agara-Zemo Osiauri, is ongoing which is financed by the World Bank.  Construction of Ruisi-Agara 19 km section is at the completion stage. Mentioned section will be open from October and traffic will be diverted to new road stage by stage. Works for construction of road base is ongoing at 7 km Agara-Zemo Osiauri section.

According to representatives of the World Bank, significant progress is observed at mentioned section and the works are performed in a quality manner.

Working meetings and monitoring of the road projects jointly with the World Bank mission will continue for a week.
