Land sliding and rock fall debris damaged the carriageway of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road (km79-km92) late at night yesterday. Land slide occurred due to a heavy rain. Traffic on mentioned road was restricted till now. Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure enabled to open the road as a result of continuous work.  

Disaster also damaged Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo road and movement is restricted on this road till now. 

Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Reclamation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture are implementing road upgrading works. Special machinery is mobilized on site and all necessary works are undertaken to open the road within the shortest time.
