Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing the works for rehabilitation of 12.5 km section of Tsereteli-Mirzoevka-Mughanlo-Kesalo road in Marneuli municipality.

The project is being implemented under the Third Secondary and Local Roads Project (SLRP-III), which is financed by the World Bank and its cost amounts to GEL 4 770 700.

Under rehabilitation project of km4-km16 section of Tsereteli-Mirzoevka-Mughanlo-Kesalo road the pavement will be completely restored, asphalt-concrete pavement will be constructed; works related to junctions, culverts, ditches, bus stops, sidewalks, road signs and horizontal road marking will be performed.

Mentioned road is the shortest link from Marneuli city to the Red Bridge (border of Azerbaijan) and is used for both transit and agricultural purposes.  

The section under rehabilitation will pass through the following villages: Tsereteli, Mirzoevka, Mughanlo and Kesalo.

The works commenced in February 2015and will be completed in 2016. Sixty people have been employed for the woks.
