Japanese International Cooperation Agency is satisfied with the cooperation with Georgian side

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili, met the Director General for Caucasus, East and Central Asia Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Toshinobu Kato and other representatives of the mission.
The two sides discussed the infrastructure projects, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).  Special attention was paid to the road infrastructure. They also discussed prospects for future cooperation. The guests noted that the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is satisfied with the cooperation with Georgian side
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is funding the construction of Zestafoni-Kutaisi-Samtredia road. At this point, road pavement works are ongoing on a new bypass road of Zestaponi-Kutaisi. 24-kilometer section of Kutaisi-Samtredia bypass road will be completed current year (traffic is already open on 14.8 km section of the road). Traffic was open on Kutaisi bypass (17.3 km) and Kutaisi bypass -Samtredia (14.7 km) roads (32 km-long sections).
