Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is constructing 15km section of Zestaponi-Kutaisi bypass road. The works progress was observed by the Chairman of Roads Department Vazha Panchulidze.
Zestaponi-Kutaisi Bypass project considers construction of 15.2 km cement-concrete pavement with parameters of 4 lane highway, 9 bridges, 1 road interchange, 5 pedestrian bridges, 44 underpasses and reinforced-concrete culverts.
Earth works, construction of culverts, reinforced-concrete piles, columns, girders and underpasses are already completed. Works are implemented by financing of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the cost amounts to GEL 71,1 million and Euro 22.1 million. 280 persons are employed by the project.
