Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Vazha Panchulidze attended a meeting held in Dariali Gorge to review disaster related issues. The meeting was organized by Crisis Management Center and it was attended by the Director Nodar Nadirashvili and representatives of different government agencies.

Parties talked about the current condition and expected hazards in disaster zone and discussed preventive and mitigation measures. They reviewed escape route in case of reoccurrence of disaster and discussed options to avoid hazards. For future it is planned to install alarm system in Devdoraki gorge and therefore location was surveyed. Roads Department has already started arrangement of stopping barriers in Devdoraki gorge in order to close traffic and evacuate people timely if the landslide reoccurs.
