Roads Department signed a Contract for preparation of designs for 10 road sections

Today, Roads Department signed a Contract with Dohwa for preparation of detailed engineering designs and bidding documentations for 10 selected road sections under the Third Secondary and Local Roads Project (SLRP III). 
Mentioned consulting service considers preparation of designs for 10 road sections with total length 100 km. 
Design works include: 7 km Tsalenjikha-Jvarzeni road (Tsalenjikha-Sachino section), 6 km Borjomi-Bakuriani-Akhalkalaki road (Kotelia-Aragva section), 9 km Zomleti-Khikhadziri (Skhalta-Kvatia) road, 10,5 km Khobi-Akhalsopeli-Rkinigzis Sadguri road, 21 km   Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni road (Alpana-Chrebalo section), 16 km Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni road (Utsera-Shovi section), 4 km access road to the village Tolebi, 9 km access road to the village Didveli, 7 km Kveda Meskheti-Partskhanakanevi road   and 9 km Napareuli-Lapankuri road. 
SLRP III is implemented by financial support of the World Bank and eventually 200 km of road would be rehabilitated. That will result in reducing of travel time by 20%. 150 000 people will use improved and safe road.  
Under SLPR III bidding for rehabilitation of the first 10 road sections was announced in 2014.
