Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Vazha Panchulidze and Deputy Chairman Nugzar Gasviani monitored construction of 19 km Ruisi-Agara highway.

Construction of 5 overpasses and 3 bridges considered by the design of Ruisi-Agara section is already completed. 36 reinforced-concrete culverts and 6 agricultural underpasses are constructed.

Construction of 8 km long section was completed in previous year and it is opened to traffic. Construction of 19 km section will be totally completed in both directions by the end of the year and traffic would be diverted to this road. Donor of the project is the World Bank.
