Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is rehabilitating 12 km section of Agara-Kornisi-Tskhinvali road. The works progress was observed by the Chairman of Roads Department Vazha Panchulidze together with the representatives of local government. 

At this stage, asphalt-concrete pavement is constructed on 2,5 km road. At the same time, arrangement of gabions, culverts, ditches and sand and gravel base are ongoing. Project envisages construction of asphalt-concrete pavement on the entire section, construction of supporting walls, shoulders, culverts and arrangement of bus stops and road signs. 

Respective road will connect more than 5 villages to each other. Project cost amounts to GEL 194 000. Rehabilitation works, financed by the World Bank, have commenced recently and will be completed by the end of the year. About 90 people are employed by the project.
