Rehabilitation of 9 km Akhmeta-Telavi-Bakurtsikhe road is completed.  Vazha Panchulidze, Chairman of Roads Department inspected implemented works.

Rehabilitated section starts on the territory of Gurjaani city and ends on the junction of international Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi road. Road pavement is upgraded under the project; shoulders, ditches and culverts are cleaned and restored, sidewalks are arranged and marking of the carriageway is performed.

Population of several villages – Chandari, Vejini, Kolagi and Bakurtsikhe use rehabilitated road. Project implementation facilitated to improve traffic conditions and raise safety on respective section.  

65 locals were employed on works. Project was financed by the State budget. Project cost was GEL 5 444 000.
