Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia implements rehabilitation of Tbilisi (Veli)-Gachiani-Rustavi secondary road. Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia Vazha Panchulidze inspected ongoing works today. 3,4 km section is under rehabilitation. Asphalt-concrete pavement is constructed under the project. Also, bridges, ditches, sidewalks, junctions, entrances to private yards and road signs are arranged.
Mentioned section starts from Lochini Bridge and runs through the village Karajala. Tbilisi (Veli)-Gachiani-Rustavi road has not been rehabilitated for more than 20 years. As a result of project implementation, movement will become more safe and comfortable. Also, road user costs would be reduced. Works started in September of the last year and will be completed in April 2015. Project is financed from the state budget and its cost is GEL 2 090 000.
