Traffic at km173-km188(Kala-Ushguli) section of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road is forbidden for all mode of transport due to heavy snow and avalanche hazards. Movement at km30-km173(Jvari-Kala) section is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and for buses with more than 30 seats; for other vehicles traffic is free at km1-km70, but at km71-km150 movement is permissible by application of antiskid chains. Traffic is free for tandem-drive vehicles.
