Today, the agreement was signed between the Roads Department at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and the Chinese construction company, won the tender, "China Railway 23rd". The document was signed by the chairman of the Roads Department, VazhaPanchulidze and the Director General of Chinese company XuMingxin.

The contract includes construction of 4th Lot of Samtedia –Grigoleti section of E60 highway.  The project will last is 24 months and will cost 113 million GEL. European Investment Bank (EIB) is the donor of the project.

The agreement also includes construction of a new 4-lane asphalt-concrete road with length 9.5-kilometers.   It should be noted that 80% of employees will be the population living in the vicinity of the project area, and the locals will be given an additional source of income and, therefore, their living conditions will be improved.

As a result of construction of Samtredia-Grigoleti road section, the movement will become comfortable, safety will be increased, cargo transshipment costs will be reduced and transit traffic will become easier.
