​18 thousand residents will use rehabilitated road

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, George Koberidze and the Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, Vaja Panchulidze inspected rehabilitation works of 9km section of Gurjaani-Bakurtsikhe secondary road today. The road rehabilitation project entails arrangement of the asphalt pavement arrangement, sidewalks, ditches, drainage channels; repairing of the reinforced concrete bridge, also, installing metal and concrete protective artificial buildings.
150 people are employed on the rehabilitation works of the secondary road. Most of them are local residents.
The section which is under rehabilitation will run through the villages: Chandari, Vejini, Kolag and Bakurtsikhe.  Approximately 18,000 residents will benefit from the renewed road. The project will be completed in early 2015.
