Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure continues infrastructure projects for improving water supply in the regions of Georgia. United Water Supply Company will spend 700 000 GEL in this direction in Marneuli.  Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, George Koberidze was introduced the ongoing works within the frameworks of the project.
Within the frameworks of the project, rehabilitation of 500 cubic meter water-reservoir and arrangement of the central pipe with diameter 600 mm on 6 streets of Marneuli, will be implemented. 25 citizens of Georgia have been employed on the rehabilitation works. After rehabilitation works water supply will be significantly improved for population of Marneuli and 35000 local inhabitants will use improved water, with stable schedule.
Currently, water supply is implemented from head waters of Saimerlo and Kolagiri, but due amortized network, in some parts of the city, there are many injuries, which prevent the water supply.    
To be noted, that Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, together with United Water Supply Company, by ADB financial support, plans to implement one more  water supply project in Marneuli, within frameworks of which, fully rehabilitation of water supply and sewage systems is considered.
First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, George Amashukeli and the Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia, VazhaPanchulidze inspected ongoing rehabilitation works of access road to Shiomgvime monastery.
The road has not been repaired for over 25 years, and it created a problem for users of the road. Rehabilitation of the access road to Shiomghvime monastery will facilitate the development of tourism, church parish and locals will use a safe and comfortable road. The travel time will be reduced by 30 minutes, the number of tourists and pilgrims will be increased.
The first stage of the rehabilitation works, which included rehabilitation of 4 kilometer-long section of the road, were started in September 2014 and will be completed by spring 2015. The project includes organizing of the pipes and culverts and the road surface. By this time, asphalt-concrete pavement on 2-km section of the road is completed. In the summer of 2015, the 8-kilometer section will be fully rehabilitated.
