Davit Shavliashvili observed Kobuleti bypass road construction works

Construction works of 19 km section on the second lot of Kobuleti bypass road are undergoing actively. The Minister of Regional development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Davit Shavliashvili together with the Chairman of Adjara Government, Archil Khabadze and the Head of Roads Department of Georgia, Vazha Panchulidze observed ongoing construction.
At present, asphalt pavement, 9 bridges, 7 viaducts, 21 underpasses, 2 tunnels and 43 culverts are being built. Davit Shavliashvili familiarized himself with the details of construction of one of the largest and technologically most complicated bridges with the length of 1180 meters. It should be noted that latest European technologies of this sort for bridge construction are used for the first time in Georgia.
6 bridges, 48 artificial constructions including culverts and underpasses were already built. Out of 550 workers employed on the construction majority are local residents. The project is undergoing with the financial support of Asian Development Bank and costs 210 mln GEL.
