Representatives and machinery of Roads Department are mobilized in all rain-affected disaster zones of Zugdidi and Kutaisi Municipalities. Cleaning of roads flooded as result of raised rivers will start as soon as the weather is improved and water level in the rivers is declined.

Raised river Khobistskali flooded the carriageway in Zugdidi Municipality that caused restriction of traffic at km24 of Zugdidi-Jikhashkari-Chkhorotsku road.  

River Rioni raised due to heavy rain and flooded Kutaisi-Alpana road in the village Zhoneti. Water also covered the carriageway that resulted in closing of movement at mentioned section.

Traffic was resumed at Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili road after some restrictions. The road was closed this morning due to collapse of mountain mass; though the traffic was resumed shortly by the efforts and works carried out by Roads Department.  At this stage road widening works are progressing at respective section.
