Emergency headquarters will work for disaster prevention in the regions

At a special session of the emergency headquarter, which was attended by the Governors of the regions of Georgia and the representatives of the Government of Adjara and central government, it was decided that emergency headquarters will be created in the regions where severe storms and abundant rainfalls are expected. Government officials and representatives of all relevant ministries will control the situation in all potentially dangerous zones.
According to the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Davit Shavliashvili, at this moment all the necessary equipment and heavy technique are fully mobilized.  The experts are shifting with 24-schedule on Svaneti road and in Devdorak valley where landslides are expected. 
After the meeting, members of the staff were distributed in Zugdidi, Poti, Anaklia, Batumi and Sarpi groups.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Davit Shavliashvili and Chairman of the Department of Roads, Vazha  Panchulidze left  for Zugdidi. They will hold an extended meeting together with the state Representative-Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Levan Shonia and the representatives of the local government. They will hear information about the situation and will plan future activities for the region.
Head of the Infrastructure Development Department at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and the director of the "United Water Supply Company”, monitor the situation in Ozurgeti and Batumi. Representatives of the “State Construction Company” left for Sarpi.
After the regional meetings, late at night, all the staff emergency headquarters will meet again.
