Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Davit Shavliashvili, chairman of the Department of Roads, Vazha Panchulidze together with representatives of United Water Supply Company of Georgia, are in the disaster zone and monitor the  situation on the spot. Members of the Staff for Liquidation Disaster Results and the members of the Government are on the spot as well.

Operations for liquidation disaster results are underway. As the result of flooding the rivers Bzhuzha and Natanebi, the road was damaged in Ozurgeti municipality. On the 4th km of Ozurgeti –Shemokmedi-Bzhuzhhesi – Gomismta the movement is still forbidden. Due to the high level of the water, technical work has not been started in disaster area yet.

As a result of heavy rain and flooding, water reservoir and pumping station were damaged in Ozurgeti. To solve the problem, the representatives of  United Water Supply Company of Georgia has already started  work in Ozurgeti municipality. The works will be carried out in a continuous mode until the water supply was not fully restored to the people living in the disaster zone.

Emergency crews of Guria and maintenance service are mobilized on the spot. The exact amount of the damage is unknown at this time. Counting Commission will publish  the first data tomorrow.
