Deputy Head of Government Administration, Nino Kobakhidze and the Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Mariam Jashi held the presentation of the Solidarity Fund. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, David Shavliashvili, Chairman of Roads Department Vazha Panchulidze and the other officials of the Ministry attended the presentation.

Solidarity Fund of Georgia was created by the initiative of the Prime Minister and aims to mobilize the financial resources in collaboration with public and private sector and appeal to the priority social needs for the vulnerable children and families facing the risk of catastrophic social costs. The fund will be focused to cover expensive treatment costs of cancer patients, primarily children.

Personnel of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Roads Department have already involved in charitable activities of the Georgian Government and make unselfish contribution to financing of the Solidarity Fund.
