Works for rehabilitation of 8 km section of secondary Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo road in Kakheti region are progressing. Cost of the project amounts to GEL 3.663.116. The works are performed by Road Building-Maintenance Company “Serpantini”.

Rehabilitation of 8 km road section commenced on April 4, 2014 and will be completed by the end of the year. At present, the works related to recycling, construction of asphalt pavement and rehabilitation of the existing bridge are ongoing.

Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo road has a strategic importance. It starts from village Pshaveli (left junction at km22 of Akhmeta-Kvareli-Ninigori-Lagodekhi road) and ending point is in village Lechura. Mentioned road is the only connecting road to Omalo settlement and unique tourist places, accordingly the road is used for both agricultural and touristic purposes.
