Today at 05.00 a.m. landslide took place again at km146 of Rikoti pass section. Carriageway is closed due to collapse of three thousand cubic meters of earth and rock mass near the village Khevi of Kharagauli Municipality. Traffic is forbidden at respective section for all mode of transport.

Movement is diverted to Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi road. Mobilization of relevant machinery and cleaning works are launched at km 147 of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road. Deputy Chairman of Roads Department Nugzar Gasviani is on-site and personally supervising work progress. 

Representatives of Geological Department of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection shall carry out on-site study of landslide zone and prepare relevant recommendations.

Roads Department shall resume traffic at mentioned section based on the conclusion of the geological survey.
