Based on the instruction given by the Prime Minister, Roads Department has being implementing cleaning works within twenty-four hours in Daliali since the landslide occurrence. Extraordinary meeting was held at the emergency headquarters today morning, wherein further plan for cleaning works was developed.    

Since May 17, State Construction Company is implementing cleaning works in continuous mode. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili, Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili and his Deputy Vazha Panchulidze are on-site.

At this stage, water accumulated in the tunnel as a result of landslide, located near Dariali hydro-electric power station, is dried; water flows in natural river bed by means of artificial channel that enables to undertake rescue and cleaning works more effectively. Cleaning of the road is being undertaken from different sides. 25 equipments are working on site and additionally other heavy machinery is mobilized.

Implementation of relevant cleaning works is expedited in landslide zone and representatives of the Department make an effort to open traffic towards Larsi direction within the shortest period.
