George Amashukeli and Davit Shavliashvili had meetings at Transport Department of Great Britain

The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure George Amashukeli and Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili  held meetings with Mr. Gra¬ham Dal¬ton — Chief Executive of High¬ways Agency of the Depart¬ment for Trans¬port of UK and other representatives of the respective Agency within the scope of the visit.  
Conversation was about the transport system existing in Great Britain and Georgia, road infrastructure and current condition of highways. Representatives of the Department shared gained experience with the visitors and talked about the novelties that are successfully applied in UK.  Attention was paid to issues related to tenders, contractual conditions with contractors and other main topics. Electronic system of road management that is already adopted and successfully operated in UK was introduced to Georgian representatives. Also, various statistics, standards, approaches and documents, which will be effectively used in Georgia for institutional development, were provided to Georgian side.  
The parties expressed a wish for further closer cooperation. Mr. Dal¬ton invited Georgian colleagues to visit UK again and noted that within the next visit he will introduce to Georgian party working process in more details, provide site-visits and share experience that his country has in respective field.
