Roads Department (RD) declares will full responsibility that the statement made by the representative of the United National Movement (UNM) does not correspond to reality and categorically excludes the possibility of anyone’s influence on tenders announced by Roads Department.

It is a false when representative of parliamentary minority declares that Roads Construction Company Serpantini LLC won large number of tenders announced by Roads Department, moreover tenders throughout the whole country. Any person concerned can obtain and check this information in the electronic tendering system and find that Serpantini LLC won 4 tenders in 2013 and only in the area of their responsibility – in Kakheti region.

Mentioned Company received negative results for 7 tenders announced by Roads Department in 2013, but won in 4 electronic tenders announced for rehabilitation and periodic repair works for separate sections of 2 roads.

Ioseb Kadagishvili, Deputy Chairman of RD states that the second accusation as if he is a close relative of Tamaz Tamazashvili, the father-in-law of the Prime Minister of Georgia, is an intentionally spread rumor.  Ioseb Kadagishvili:  “I declare with full responsibility that I have no kinship with Tamaz Tamazashvili and his family; that could be easily verified by United National Movement. Their statement is a false and calumny for the simple reason that my mother is the only child and I cannot be anyone’s cousin. I have already talked with my lawyer, who is preparing the claim and adventurism and impudence of the National Movement will be revealed by the court”.
